Who's behind it
Diógenes de Oliveira Silva, known as Doc. Anesthesiologist. Coding since 1984, on a TK 2000 that still sits at Anestech. In 1994 he became the first medical student in Brazil to have an e-mail address.
In 2012 he founded Anestech. In 2014 it received investment from Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital (São Paulo), never relying on a venture capital fund. NTT Data recognized it in Madrid as Brazil's most innovative healthtech. Today it is the #1 reference in anesthesia information management in Latin America, with about 10 million procedures in structured data: one of the largest real-world data (RWD) sets in the field worldwide.
It went through the valley of death, kissed death's cold cheek, and came out the other side with cash, data and customers.
